HyFlex CM files are manufactured from a proprietary controlled-memory NiTi wire that lacks the typical superelastic "shape memory" of standard NiTi. The file remains bent in curved canals (reducing transportation), and the original shape is restored after steam sterilization — allowing multiple safe uses when the file shows no surface defects.
